{It's a Miracle}

Ryan and I both are looking to move from our home to something a little more spacious her in the next couple of months ... hopefully around spring time. But before we sell the house, there continues to be a list of things we need to get done before we put our house on the market.
I have been begging (more like nagging) Ryan to paint our family from from a plain white to more of a taupe (neutral) color. I wanted this to happen soon, because we are having a lot of people over for Braeden's first birthday party and I wanted the house to look nice. FINALLY, last night he gave in and promised today that we would begin to paint .... THANK GOD!

So this morning we woke up bright and early and went to our favorite store ... Lowes! Here are the before and after pictures just after tonight. We also got a new light fixture to replace this HIDEOUS old one. Obviously I still have a lot of work to do, but I did put up an old curtain rod, so I still have to get actually curtain and a rods, and I am going to start to get a few things to hang on the walls. But for now, it looks a MILLION times better!!

{Upcoming Birthday}

As many of our friends and family know, Braeden's first birthday is fastly approaching. I have been so excited about this, that I have been planning a huge party for the past couple of weeks already. Everyone kept asking me what I was going to do after the wedding, and duh ... I am planning another party!
Most of my inspiration came from a group that I have recently joined here in Jeff City. You may have heard of MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) but, thanks to Prato, I have a new group of moms to hang out with. The first meeting was, I swear, just for me :) It was about planning parties for your children and for family ... I absolutly loved it, and it showed me that I could take something simple and turn it into something extrodianary!

I have decided to throw Braeden (for those who do not know, he was born on MU's Homecoming last year) a Lil' Quarterback Tailgate Birthday Party. We are going to have everything that you would find at a tailgate (minus the alcohol). His highchair is going to be made into a goal post, everyone is to wear their favorite sports team, and it's just going to be great! Anyways, last night I spent most of my night finishing Braeden's invitations ... what do you think? Yup, everyone is getting a game ticket that I designed!

Since I got back on my honeymoon (pictures to be posted soon) I have been taking a lot of pictures of Braeden. Here are just a few of my favorites ... it's hard to believe that he is almost one!

The last picture was from this morning. I was folding towels while Ryan was in the shower. All I hear is ... "honey, come in here." I guess Braeden wanted to see what dad was doing exactly! HA
