Last Sunday Ryan and I loaded up the kids and headed for the State Fair! I LOVE the state fair, and both Ryan and I have been every year since we were little kids. I mostly would go because I dad helps run the Beef House, while Ryan would go with his family to watch the horses. I guess I was in with the cows while he was playing in the hay ... otherwise I am sure our paths would have crossed!
Last year we took Braeden, but he was still pretty little, and probably didn't get anything out of it. This year was a different story. Although we still couldn't do a whole lot with the kids, we were able to find some kid friendly activities! Ronald McDonald was there (Braeden kept calling him french fries ... haha) a rain forest live performance, the petting zoo, pony rides, and or course, we took them to go see the cows with Grandpa.
We tried to get Braeden to ride one of the ponies, but he flipped out as soon as Ryan tried to put him on one, poor guy. We also were able to get both kids the MO Chip, which puts kids in the system in case of an Amber Alert. It took about 45 mins to register both, but now they have both kids picture, DNA, fingerprints, history, etc. It's really important to do, even though it's a ridiculously long wait! (Can't you just imagine what little Bayler's fingerprints looked like ... I should have asked for a copy :)
All-in-all it was a great day. We got there pretty early in the morning and left by 3 in the afternoon ... it was a beautiful day, and I can't wait until next year. Got to love the state fair!

I promised you more pictures from Men of the Club, so here they are! I will still have more pictures coming, and I hoping to have those before next week.
As I mentioned before, there were three different competitions for the evening. Swimsuit, Talent and Evening Wear.
Ryan and the 2 other guys came out for swimwear with kiddie pools, and pretended to do synchronized swimming. All of a sudden the music stopped, they acted confused, and then they started busting out to "Tricky!"
For their talent competition, the guys did the "Single Ladies" dance ... it Rocked!
And finally for the evening wear competition, Ryan came out in a pink dance dress, and did a rhythmic dance with a ribbon want to "I Feel Pretty."
Let me just say this ... it was for the children, and I am sure no one will ever see him do anything like that again! (As soon as I get some video rights, I'll post some footage on here!)

This post is going to be short, I am exhausted from last night, I barely have a voice, and I am enjoying a day hanging out with my kids.
I would however like to say CONGRATS HONEY! The hubs WON last night, and is now officially Mr. Jeff City! I could not be more proud! There will be more pictures to come, but this is Ryan getting Crowned last night ... it was an absolute blast!

Wow, it's been a few days since my last post. I have been extremely busy the last few days, and I really can't name a ton of things that I accomplished. Bayler is getting bigger everyday, and I just can't believe how much he's changing. On Thursday we had his 1 month check up and he was 8 lbs 13 oz, 21" long. It put him in the 25% range for both, and his head circumference put him in the 10% range. He is just a small little guy!
Friday my friend Jen came to visit. It was really relaxing and so much fun to catch up. I really miss my girlfriends, and when one is able to take time out of their day to come and see my crazy/hectic life at home, it's always appreciated! So while talking with her, she came up with a great idea for Saturday. All she had to say was play date and wine, and I was there!
Saturday went WAY to fast for me. I met up with Jen again for a play date with a couple of her friends, one whom also had a child. I brought Braeden and Bayler and 4 of us girls sat outside on the deck, let the children play with each other around us, and shared wine. It was beautiful! It really made me realize how much I really do need to get out of the house more often, and treat myself to girlfriend days. I took my time getting home that evening, and when I finally got home, Ryan had arranged for his mom to watch the kids all night while we went out with some friends. Ryan's friend Adam was in town from NY, and we were all able to go out. What fun! Let's just say, I can no longer hang until 3:30 am anymore.
I think I will have to do this more often, just a day of fun. A day where I don't have the stress of the kids, everything is easy, and I can enjoy some girlfriend or husband time!
