{I'm Back, and Better Than Ever]

Wow, it has been WAY too long. I have been trying to keep up a little bit on my iphone, but it takes way too long, and NOW, I have a BRAND SPANKING NEW COMPUTER, and she is a beaut!

Thanks the the hubby and mom, who helped to buy me a new computer for Christmas. Now I know Christmas is still a little while away, but I had to have it NOW! I was really getting behind on business, and of course, blogging! :) I feel like I have missed so much!

So, here it is ... it's exactly what I was looking for, and it had all the tools for me to hold my millions of pictures of the boys .. YAY!

Look who's trying to sit! The picture is pretty blurry because he was starting to lean back, but hey ... it's a start. I am so proud of the little guy!



In other news, I have never read a Harry Potter book, I don't watch the cw, I don't really get into what I call the "Teeny Bopper band wagon." That being said, I did something completely out of my comfort zone ... I watched Twilight.

Now ... I know some of your are mad at me for not reading the book first (have two kids under two and figure that one out.) And I know some of you are wondering if I am going to bash it.

Well, I'm not. I can't say I'm on this "Robert Pattinson" craze, cause I'm not (i don't even find him attractive.) Cody loves the soundtrack ... I can't say I got into it. I don't even know why people are all into the whole vampire thing ... I don't get it. I also don't get why people like imaginary things ....

BUT...

I did like the movie. I actually liked the movie. I didn't like some of the effects of the movie, but for the most part ... I really enjoyed it. And you know what, I want to see the next movie ... "New Moon." There is something about the movie that attracted me, and now I constantly think about it ... soo ... do not criticize my judgements from before, but instead, pat me on the back for having an open mind. Those of you who know me understand that is not one of my strongest traits.

{DIY Day and Diamond Plated Frames}

Since it's DIY day over at A Soft Place to Land, I thought I would show you how I made Braeden's diamond plated frames. They were super easy to make, so I thought I would share.

First I got a diamond plate stickers (Rocker Panel Kits) from Auto Zone or any car part store should carry them. To make 5 frames, I needed 3 kits.



Since Braeden's room had a vintage feel to it, I blew up pictures of Ryan's old truck.

I also went to Hobby Lobby and grabbed some frame mats. It doesn't matter what color you choose, because you will be covering all of the mat. You just have to make sure you get a big enough size to go over your picture.

Getting started ... I first took the frame mat and taped the picture to the back, making sure it was centered. I then cut out the diamond plated sticker in the lenghts of the mat. I made sure to cute each side at an angle, so they met at a diagonal on the corners. Cut off the excess panel.

All you have to do now is peel the back of the diamond plate and press on your frame mat. When you have done that, there is a clear film over the top of the diamond plate you take off, hang and wha la .... beautiful diamond platted frames ... perfect for boy rooms!

{Braeden's 2nd Birthday}

I am so happy that I threw Braeden another party for his birthday. It turned out to be soo cute, and I'm so glad we had a good turn out to celebrate our little guys big day!

The theme this year was a "Mod Monkey" theme, because Braeden LOVES Curious George. So, of course I decorated with lots and lots of monkey items, including ...

{Halloween 09}

Halloween night was a success in the Imhoff Household. By the time it came around for trick-or-treating both kids were exhausted ... probably because of this...






Halloween night we loaded up in the car, my mom came with us, and we headed to a local church to go "Trunk-or-Treating." It was a great alternative for us. We didn't have to go door-to-door, we just literally got to go trunk-to-trunk of people that we trusted. There were no "gory" costumes, nothing to scare the kids, just fun and games!

{Pumpkin Carving}

I love Halloween! I think it is sooo much fun, but what I love most about the holiday is the events leading up to it. Most of all, I love pumpkin carving, and let me tell you, it is even more fun (messy) with kids!

Last Wednesday night the four of us plopped ourselves down on the kitchen floor and carved our pumpkins. We even had teams. It was Ryan and Braeden against me and Bayler. So really, myself! haha! You'll have to decide who won! I did the batt pumpkin and Ryan and Braeden did the RIP pumpkin.
