{Rainy Days}
It's been raining non stop for the last couple of days. I mean, heavy down pours. The wind has been so crazy, it has blown down trees. I even found our table umbrella in the middle of the yard last night. Crazy stuff!
For Sunday Funday, we decided to drive down on the outskirts of town and check out how high the water was ... you can't even see the road on the other side in the first picture! The forcast for the rest of the week doesn't look too forgiving either, who knows what it will look like in a week ... yikes!

{A Day at the Airport}
Some of you know that I belong to a MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers.) It's a Christian based group that brings mom's together to talk about well ... mom things. Every month we have what we a call a "Mom and Me Adventure." This month is was a day at the airport. You can imagine Braeden's excitement. I shouldn't have told him 3 days before we went, because I never heard the end of it. Bless his little heart, he was even losing sleep over the whole ideal.
All of us met at the airport yesterday at 10:00. We walked around, looked at planes and helicopters, and hung out in a hanger watching planes take off and land. It was so much fun. I am pretty sure Braeden will never forget this. Bayler on the other hand ... as soon as I lifted him into a plane ... the tears started rolling. Poor guy :) He just doesn't like to be far from his mommy.
It was an overcast day, but it didn't stop all the kids from having a great time! Here are a few pictures from our day ...

{Braeden's New Car Seat}
Braeden got a new car seat a couple of weeks ago, he LOVES it. Thank God, because I thought I was going to pull my hair out from the whole ordeal.
It started off by visiting our local Target. I took a few pictures on ones I was interested in and came home to ask Ryan when I could purchase one. To my amazement, he was ready for me to buy one ASAP. SO, at 5:00 PM that evening, I went back to Target and picked on up. Here are some pictures we took from the huge box it came in.
25 minutes later ... I decided this was NOT the car seat for us. It was not a five-star harness, and it didn't have any way to latch onto the car ... it just kind of sat there ... I was not about to put Braeden in that. So, Ryan and I jumped in the car and went to Target to return the seat. I didn't find anything else in there, so we headed to Kmart, I found a great seat there that I liked. We brought it home, put it in the car ... and HATED IT. It was awful. The handles were falling off, I just felt it was cheaply made. And let me tell you ... these car seats were name brands and cost a pretty penny. So frustrated, I decided to keep it in the car until the next day, when I would go to walmart.
Finally, the next day I returned the second car seat to Kmart and headed to Walmart. Right off the bat I found the perfect car seat. It's a SaftyOne which I am not too familiar with but it was sturdy, built right, five-star harness, and hooked into our car. I loved it. ONE problem ... they were out of them .... OMG, I thought I was going to die. After driving 45 miles out of the way, I FINALLY was able to snag one, and guess what? I LOVE it. I strongly encourage every parent to do a lot of research before finding the perfect car seat. Otherwise, you will be running around with your head cut off like I was!

{Braeden's Funny/Cute Comments}
Over the last month, Braeden has become very talkative. I am able to hold on a conversation with him, and he is able to reply in a long sentence. I am SO proud of him. He is such a little man!
Now that he is talking up a storm, he is beginning to say a lot of funny things. I thought I would take this opportunity to share a couple of those funny or memorable moments ...
1. The other morning, Braeden came into Ryan and I's room, and crawled in bed with us. He was facing me when he laid down, he looked me right in the eyes and said, "I love you Mommy." If that wasn't sweet enough, he turned over toward Ryan, looked right at him and said, "I love Mommy, Daddy, I love her." My heart just melted right then and there! I have heard him say that he loves mommy or that he loves me, but I have never heard him said that he loves "her." I just thought that was SO cute!
2. I always sleep with my hair in a pony tail at night. The other morning I woke up and crawled out of bed. I grabbed Braeden and took him in the family room. I pulled my hair out of my pony tail, so it was awful morning hair. Braeden looked over at me and said, "I love your hair mommy ... WOW, your hair looks so good mommy!" HAHA, I went to go look in the mirror thinking it was beautiful, but nope ... just morning bed head! :)
3. I was at the bank the other day and I had to say my name, Natalie Imhoff. After I said my name, Braeden looked at the teller and said, "My mommy's name is Mommy Imhoff ok??" The rest of the day he kept calling me Mommy Imhoff. He also thinks his last name is Michael, because when he's in trouble, I call him Braeden Michael, not Braeden Imhoff.
4. And finally, one of my favorites. I was coloring my hair the other day. I use professional products with a brush. Braeden came in and said, "Painting your hair mommy?" Yup, Braeden, I'm painting my hair. He thought that was so funny that I was putting "paint" in my hair. Got to love little kids!
I'm sure there will be more to come, but I wanted to write them down before I forgot them!

{My Man}
After reading my friend Jenny Lee's post about "her man," I decided to play along. I really don't talk a lot about Ryan on this blog, so this is a great opportunity for me.
Ryan and I have been married for a year and a half. We have two beautiful boys together named Braeden and Bayler. What a lot of people don't know, is how we met.
I love country, Ryan is country. We met in a bar called Cody's one night by pure luck. A song came on that I wanted to dance to ... none of my guys friends wanted to dance, so I walked up to the dance floor and grabbed the first guy I saw. I had no idea what he looked like when I grabbed him, just wanted to dance. I think I said something like, "We're Dancing." I am just so romantic! After a few minutes of talking on the dance floor, he introduced me to all his friends. At the end of the night, Ryan gave me his business card ... yup ... he's that guy! He will tell you that after we met that night, he knew I was the one. Funny, I went home to my parents the next day for lunch and told them the same thing :) Just nine months after we started dating, we found out about Braeden. I had mixed feelings until I saw Ryan's face ... pure excitement. He did however make me wait until AFTER I had Braeden to propose ... I swear. Anyways, it's our love story, and I can't wait to share it with our boys one day. They will probably want to throw up :)
Here is a little bit about the man that I love ...
Who is your man? Michael Ryan Imhoff
How long have you been together? About 4 years
How long did you date? 18 Months
How old is your man? 26
Who eats more? Ryan
Who said "I love you" first? Ryan ... but he tried to make me ... haha
Who is taller? Ryan just towers over me
Who sings better? Ryan is actually a really good signer. He serenaded me at our wedding reception! He can also play the guitar!
Who is smarter? I like to tell people we both have our strengths and weaknesses
Whose temper is worse? Most definitely Ryan
Who does the laundry? I do ... I guess it comes with being a sahm
Who takes out the garbage? Ryan ... diapers included!
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Ryan does ... but I prefer the right!
Who pays the bills? Mr. Imhoff himself
Who is better with the computer? I am
Who mows the lawn? That would be Ryan as well. He does outside stuff, I do all the inside stuff!
Who cooks dinner? We both do, but Ryan is really good in the kitchen!
Who drives when you are together? Ryan, I would feel weird driving him around
Who pays when you go out? Even though we have the account, he pays ... we're just old fashioned
Who is most stubborn? Oh wow ... I will go with me. But he can be pretty stubborn himself!
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? No one in our family admits that they on wrong. BUT, Ryan is always the first one to say he's sorry :)
Whose parents do you see the most? Ryans
Who proposed? He did ... it was beautiful!
Who wears the pants in the family? Ryan may be the head of the family, but I am for sure the neck :)

{Thank you for the Support!}
I just wanted to say thank you to all my readers who reached out to me yesterday after my post to wish me the best and support me as I try to loose these "mama" pounds.
As a result, I will not leave you all in suspense. Besty has started a blog for us to grant each other moral support, talk about your strengths and weaknesses, and just plain get it out there that we want to change for the better. Umm, if the name does say it all, I don't know what what will. Introducing ... "Fat to Fabulous." Come join in our fun, leave comments, tell us what's working for you, and shoot ... join in the fun! I can't wait to see where this road takes us! I will warn you, I plan on being brutally honest (pictuers & all.) Besty, this is a GREAT idea! We're even planning on hitting up the gym together ... all you around town better watch out!
My inspiration comes from two gals who I have come to know through blog world. The first is my home girl from OK, Jenny Lee. She told her weight loss story here. She is also soo sweet and is going to be someone who I am able to talk to on a regular basis and be one of my accountbility partners! Love her!
My second inspiration comes from Ashley, over at Ashley's Avenue. I told you about her story yesterday.
Thank you girls! It's great to know that it's possible to be the person you deserve to be.
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
—Isaiah 41:10
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

** On a side note: Today was supposed to be my first "work out day." Umm, I failed. I went to bed finally at 6 am because both kids wouldn't sleep, woke up at 8 to take Braeden to day care, and was so exhaused I just came home and cleaned the house. Does that count? The day was not a complete failure. I did take the kids for a walk tonight with Ryan. We walked 1.2 miles to his parents house ... and there were a lot of hills ... I felt the burn! :) Now, all other wieght related blogs will be here! Thanks!

External Hard Drive
After my computer crashed last November, I have been wanting to get an external hard drive to save all of my pictures and documents. Last week, Ryan was given a gift certificate to Overstock, and we thought the perfect item to get was a PINK external hard drive. Well, Ryan didn't really want pink, but he actually ordered it for me, without telling me at all. So you can imagine the shock on my face when it arrived in the mail!
Yay for my hard drive ... now everything is safe!!! I think I will sleep better tonight :)
** I hate this picture of me, but Bayler looked just so darn cute!

Braeden's Allergy Bag Tag
Ever since we found out that Braeden was allergic to Penicillin, I have had to take some special measures to ensure that everyone around Braeden knows and is aware of his situation.
I was a little stumped trying to figure out how to mark his allergy. I thought about putting a card on his bag, making him wear a bracelet, but none seemed to be the right answer.
Ryan came home the other day and was about to throw this luggage tag away. I saw it from the corner of my eye, and all of a sudden it clicked. Duh, a luggage tag! He always has his backpack with him!
So, today I just make up a little personalized tag for Braeden's bag ... what do you think?
