{DIY Anthropology Pendent Light}

Have you seen this?



This amazing DIY project is from Ashley Ann. She was inspired by Anthropology's Pendent Lights, but the price tag was not as appealing.



So what did this awesome chick do? Made one her self by spray painting a wire basket!! Well, she did a little more than that, but you'll have to go to her blog and check out the whole tutorial ... You can find it here.

{Bayler's First Birthday Party}

Well, it's over! It was a blast. I think everyone had a great time (minus the heat.) I still can't believe that Bayler is one already, it's just too hard for me to grasp. The thought of my little guy, my baby, growing up, just makes me so sad. But, I can't wait to see how his life unfolds ... he is such a treasure! I couldn't have asked for better boys!

I held the party at Ryan's Grandma's house, its towards the out parts of the city. Her house is on a private drive, on land, which made it the perfect location!

Of course we all met up at the "baggage claim" area for Bayler to open his gifts. It was a free for all with all the kids ... it was great!

{Bayler's First Birthday}

Happy Birthday Bayler! We LOVE you sooo much. You made this family complete, and you are always a joy to be around.

I remember driving to the hospital a year ago today, not knowing if you were a boy or a girl. Deep down I was praying you were a boy, so that you and your brother would be close.

I remember meeting you for the first time, and thinking how lucky I was. I remember each and every visitor who came to the hospital to meet you too. I remember wanting to stay in the hospital room just me and you forever.

A year ago today, amidst all the controversy of Michael Jackson & Farrah Fawcett, I delivered a miracle.

We love you Bayler Bear ... Happy First Birthday!!

{Bayler's Week: Day 4}

Well, I have a ton more to soo you, but I just haven't uploaded the pictures yet to the computer, so you'll just have to deal with it :)

I first set out to delegate a few tasks, just like any good party planner does. HOWEVER, sometimes it's just easier doing something yourself if you want it done right. For instance, I was going to have Bayler's shirt made. Well, I just got tired of the process and tired of the price going up, SO, I decided to do it myself. I don't have a picture of it yet, but here is what it looks like on my screen.

The shirt turned out SUPER cute ... even Ryan was impressed!

I was supposed to get a few more things accomplished today, however, it turned into a "Deep Clean the House Day." I am pretty much a clean freak. Since I woke up this morning, I have been on my feet, I am exhausted!

Did I mention we got a new couch today? More to come on that later, but it's been a busy day!

{Bayler's Week: Day 3}

Are you all tired of these post yet?

Of course, to have an "Airplane Party," one needs to have airplanes of course. I really hit the jackpot on these. I found a TON of them at 50% off at Hobby Lobby. The logo for the party is a biplane, so I wanted to find the same style of planes to decorate with. This little guy was army green when I purchased it ... however, today, it's blue!

You'll have to wait and see where this little guy goes!



I also created these last night ... they turned out great! They will be the "Clouds"

{Bayler's Week: Day 2}

Every party needs a few refreshments. I created these water bottle labels with the parties logo on them ... I think they turned out so sleek. I also decided to do a little something for the kids to ... juice box labels. They look like soap boxes now :)



Of course we'll have other beverages, but I won't be putting labels on them.

I wanted to make sure the napkins and forks had a logo on them as well ... this is just a quick easy way to carry out your theme.

{Bayler's Week: Day 1}

By the end of this week (Friday) my little boy will be 1. I just can't believe it. He is my cuddle bug, my Bayler Bear & my momma's boy. I wish he would just say this small forever!

We are planning a birthday party for him of course this next weekend. I can't wait to put everything together, and decorate for the party. Since I am super excited about everything I have created thus far, I figured I would take pictures this week and post every day till Friday, something I have done for the party.

The party is an airplane theme like many of you know. I posted the invitation here. Just FYI: I got the logo idea from Etsy. However, I did not steal the logo, I recreated it in photoshop, so it was just the way I like it. Now I can use if free will :)

Here is the "Baggage Sign" I created. It will be hanging right above where the gifts, aka, luggage are. I thought this was SO cute!! I also made a similar one for the "Beverage Cart," but I'll post that later :) The sticks with the plane logo on them are the cupcake toppers ... I create them for EVERY party!



Of course I had to make little baggies with peanuts and pretzels ... the party would not be complete without them! The rock candy and peppermint sticks will be in glass jars on the table to go along with the color scheme.
