It's probably been 10 years since I have soaked in a tub ... I think I am due. Espeicalli since we are about to be hit with another round of snow ... possibly 10-15inches. We we move, I am going to ask for this bath ... I REALLY think I deserve it :)

{Snow Day Ice Cream}
Even though I am a "stay-at-home" mom, I still enjoy snow days. There is still that excitement when you wake up and a thick blanket of snow has covered the outside, you are still warm under your covers. Today was that morning. The three of us curled up in my bed and watched cartoons under the heated blanket, the blinds open so we could observe the snow fall. Lovely!
We hurried to the kitchen and I made my "easy-peasy cinnamon rolls" and we cleaned up the house. Only to get out all of our snow gear and get bundled up to go play in the snow. Today was Baylers FIRST ever play in the snow. You could see the wheels turning when I told him we were going outside. I kept pointing out there after every layer I put on him, and he kept looking at me like I was crazy. I don't' think it really hit him until I opened up the front door and carried him out unto the middle of the yard. So much fun. Of course Braeden was wanting to throw snow balls at Bayler and I (gee thanks Uncle Justin for teaching him this.) I was sure to bring a bowl with me outdoors to gather up enough for "snow cream."
The wind was brutle this morning, so we were only able to stay out for a short amount of time. The kids didn't seem to mind though, I think they were both ready to come inside and get warm.
I have use a number of snow ice cream recipes in the past, but the recipe I used this morning is hands down the best. It was SOOOO yummy, and the kids couldn't' get enough!
Here is the recipe if you are interested...
Snow Ice Cream:
- Gather a large bowl of snow
- Pour in 1 cup of sugar
- a teaspoon of vanilla
- and heavy whipping cream to taste/consistency
mix together and enjoy.
We loved our so much that we decided to put the rest in the freezer and save it for later :)

{Deep Cleaning}
Does anyone else have the problem I do? I leave the house and work for a few days, come home, and it looks like five tornadoes have ripped through my house. There is about 5 days of laundry to do piled in the laundry room, the floors haven't been swept since I left, toys are scattered, dishes are piled in the sink, not to mention bathrooms haven't been cleaned ... ugh. Sometimes, just leaving the house is stressful thinking about it.
Since today is a snow day for most, I thought I would share with you my "deep cleaning" process. It's a chart that I use. I keep it in my cleaning bucket, and it goes through every room until the house is clean. Yep, this is how I am spending my snow day, in hopes that I can get it down now, and enjoy all the snow tomorrow :)
So here it is in all it's glory. I have customized this list a number of times depending on the house I live in, what areas to clean, etc. But this is what I use my my current house now. Feel free to print it off and use it too. I happen to have mine laminated so that I can check items off as I go. BTW: I usually do this every other Monday, and the rest of the days I just "clean up." I found that if I keep this up, then it's easier each time and cuts down on the time!
Happy Deep Cleaning!

{Bridal Show Week}
Super busy here the next couple of days. The Bridal Spectacular is on Sunday, and I have been surrying around trying to gather all the loose ends, so that they booth is perfection.
This bridal show will be different than any other I have done in the past. I am sharing a booth with anothing wedding coordinator in the area. I think it will work quite well, as we are both established in the area, and have similar taste. I'll give you an update on Monday on how it goes :)
If you are a future bride, be sure to check out my bridal blog The Bridal Solution for some "The Brides Guide to Bridal Shows."

{Behind the Closet Door}
If there is one thing I can't stand about all the new technology it's the WIRES. Ugh, it literally drives. me. insane!
Luckily, my husband and I have upgraded a few things and invested in some unique storage containers. I'll warn you ... this cost me a whopping $10.00, but it puts me in a happy place knowing everything has its own place. And ... if you have a organizationally challenged husband like myself ... then this idea will help make it easy for him to use and to look for items as well!
All I did was purchase a cheap shoe organizer that hangs on the door. For this purpose I wanted it to be clear. I use this mainly for odds and ins for technology. Chargers, extra tv wires, remotes, computer cords, usb, etc. My husband loves this so much he praises me every time he opens the door too :) Now, this is in a closet that we use only, not something that our guests would accidentally open, but it is near the family room so it's easy access. I just love it because it makes my life SOO much easier ... and we all know "when I'm not organized, I am not loving."
