If you have kids and are planning a trip for the summer, these craft boxes are a Must! It's a way to stay super organized and one less thing to worry about when you're in the car. The best part: when they're empty, they're empty! The kids actually start by filling their own box the night before, which gives them a reason to start getting excited!
Theses boxes are only $1.00 a Walmart!
Kelly's Bridal Shower
Monday, July 16, 2012
Going to miss this girl! TBS, myself and her BFF Megan planned her wedding shower last month. It was so much fun and was a great turnout!
The Theme for Kelly's Wedding Shower was birds, so we decided to go with a "bird cage" inspired look. It was super easy to create. We brought in tables and chairs, covered them with champagne pintuck linens, and used birdcages as the centerpieces. Each place setting had a white charger plate, clear plate with a peach linen napkin and a tea cup and saucer. A simple light pink cupcake with rose icing lay inside the tea cup.
As for the food, we displayed Chicken Salad, Veggies, Fruit Salsa, Corn & Black Bean Salsa and Angel Food, Stawberry & Chocolate skewers. It was the perfect amount of food if you ask me. For drinks we displayed chalkboard painted mason jars, where guests were able to write their names on top. There was also a fun sangria bar with both red and white wines to choose from.
We ate, played games and Kelly opned her gifts. It was such a fun night. Who wouldn't have fun with this group of girls?
Bayler's 3rd Birthday Party
Monday, July 9, 2012
I am finally getting around to posting pictures and details from Bayler's 3rd Birthday Party which was at the end of June. My how the time flies. I know everyone says this, but I feel like it was just a year ago that I brought him home from the hospital. It just makes me so sad to see him grow up, but I am so proud of all he has accomplished in the past few years.
This sweet little boy would not say a word to anyone last year. I mean, nothing. And today, after speach, he has developed a vocabulary that is right on for his age. You would have no idea he was delayed at all. Like I said ... so proud!
This year we through Bayler a Crab Boil Party. You can check out his cute invitation from this post here. We decided to keep it pretty low key, so we invited family and a family friend and her son to join us. Thank goodness too because it was tight quarters there for a while before we braved the heat outdoors. Like most of Bayler's Parties, we had the pool and sprinklers out back for the kids to cool off ... which turned out to be a hit with the little ones!
The crab boil/nautical party was made complete with a blue and white stripped bunting banner from Betty and Barclay. We also served some Ocean Water [blue kool-aid] and Lake Water [sweet tea.] I designed the cake and had it made, the letters were spray painted red from Hobby Lobby. The Nemo Cookies ... the kids help me make them ... which turned out SO cute! And like every party I create, I had to make water bottle labels to match the party!
FYI: Bayler's favorite movie is Nemo, so I thought it would fit perfectly within the nautical party!
Thanks for everyone who make out and made Bayler's Birthday Party so much fun. It was one we will not soon forget! And the kids are already asking for us to have another crab boil!
