The Pampered Mom's DIY Antiqued Dry Rack

Wednesday, May 20, 2015
Easy project I completed a few weeks ago if you can even call it that.  I have been eyeing these cute vintage remake drying racks ... how cute are these!  And the price at $20.00 was right up my alley too.

I got mine from World Market.  However, mine didn't start off black.  It was actually an off-white cream color and that wasn't exactly going to work in my kitchen.  No problem, you all know the drill.  I picked up some black matte spray paint with primer built in and 5 minutes later - perfection!

This cute little dry rack cost me just $25 with the paint job and is a focal point of my  kitchen.  It's one of the pieces I have been asked about more than any other!

Mother's Day Peonies

Monday, May 18, 2015

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend!  This post is coming a little later than I wanted, but we have been incredibly busy the past few weeks!

Yesterday was a lazy Sunday for The Imhoff's and this was my view as I was getting some work done in the office.  Hubs surprised me with a beautiful peony arrangement and it's still looking incredible a week later.  I am so blessed to call my family mine.

Have a wonderful week and God Bless!

The Pampered Mom's DIY Herb & Spice Kitchen Art

Tuesday, May 12, 2015

I have been waiting for the right opportunity to share my newest DIY project with you.  If you remember, months ago I shared a sneak peek of the project on our instagram account.  Don't follow - you totally should [@nattyimhoff]!

Well I had the entire project in a smaller frame and it wasn't as long as it is now.  See, I have this small weird space in my kitchen that just needed "something."  It was bare and really, I wish we would have added an extra set of cabinets when we had the change.  BUT, that didn't happen, and now I LOVE this once bare and awkward wall.

I took the original artwork I created and added spices to it to make it longer in size.  SO now it's HERBS AND SPICES, perfect for anyone's kitchen!  I made this art just on my ol' trusty [ha ha] PC and had it printed through hubs work.  Now, the same piece could be printed at any Kinkos, Staples, etc. for a minimal price since it's black and white.  Then I had it framed at my local Hobby Lobby.  The whole project only cost me $70 dollars, and I would say $65 of that is just getting it framed with the glass.  Well worth it in my opinion.  This artwork is not your "standard" size, therefore, everything, including glass is extra because it's custom. BUT, you'll never find another one like it!

I have already sold two others, and if you're interested, we'll get you hooked up to!
Just email me here : nataliewindett@hotmail.com

Here is the final piece in our new kitchen ... perfect space, perfect kitchen art!

Imhoff Home :: Master Bathroom Reveal

Wednesday, May 6, 2015
It's been a while since I last posted.  It certainly wasn't intentional, but with the move, unpacking and visitors, I've been out of my normal routine.

It's MAY, can you believe it?  I said that in May I would start to post photos of our new house and today, I am pleased to share with you our Master Bathroom.  Before I go any further, let me first say this...  I love the house.  I adore the house.  There are design selections in this house I would do over and there are design choices I would not choose again.  The master bathroom is one of those that I would NOT do again.  It isn't bad, and in pictures it looks quite nice, BUT, it's really not my style.  Even though I am the one who selected every piece, I think I wasn't really in bathroom mode.  It's hard to build a house and be 100% okay with everything you decide.  And the bathroom was constantly on the list of "did we do that right?!"

Maybe not, but none the less, it's still a great bathroom and it's not too bad that we will do anything about it.  We'll let the next owners worry about that ;)  So you ready to check it out?  The good, the bad and the ugly?  Here's our new master bathroom ...

So if you're asking yourself what we would have changed, the list a bit long, and really what it came down to was budget.  For instance, we wouldn't have used floor tile as the shower tile [but really had not other option.]  I think if budget would have allowed, we would have used glass all around the shower as opposed to the wall|window.  I would have chosen a lighter tile instead of the grey and wouldn't have used this to surround the bathtub either.

What I love about it?  I love that it's serene.  I love that the countertops are tall, so you don't have to bend over.  I love that I don't have to share a sink or a countertop with the hubs.  I also love how the tub is separate from the shower.

Thanks for checking it out!  If you want to continue to follow our post home reveal, please follow our blog or pin some images for inspiration!
